Payment FAQs
What is IPT and do you include it?
IPT stands for Insurance Premium Tax, which is a type of tax that applies to all general insurance premiums. It replaces VAT (Value Added Tax), but is also set at 20%. The premiums you’re quoted are inclusive of IPT.
What is a CVV number?
CVV, or Card Verification Value, is an anti-fraud security feature which helps verify that you are in possession of your credit or debit card.
On a VISA or Mastercard debit or credit card, the 3-digit CVV number is printed on or next to the signature panel on the back of the card. With an American Express debit or credit card, the 4-digit CVV number is on the front of your card, to the right on the long card number.
I haven't received my policy documents – what do I do?
When you purchase a policy, the confirmation page will give you access to your policy documents in a PDF format. This means you can download or print them for later reference.
You will also receive an email confirmation with access to your documents to the email address you provided during the quote process.
If you have opted to have your documents sent to you by post, these should be with you within 5 working days.
Should you not receive your policy documents, please let us know as soon as possible, by phone or by email.
