Who counts as a UK resident?
Residency requirements
Across the policies we offer, the following residency requirements must be true:
- You are a permanent resident of the UK
- You have your main address in the UK
- You are registered with a GP in the UK
- You have a National Insurance number
- You have been in the UK for a minimum of 6 months in the past year
- You are currently in the UK
Generally, our insurers define the ‘United Kingdom (UK)’ as inclusive of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man. Although we would always ask that you check the wording of your chosen policy to ensure you are covered.
If you are unsure whether you are eligible to be covered by one of our policies, you can always get in touch.
